co-dependence day

BB gave them a little bit of a holiday today. Noms usually happen the day after HOH, but with the holiday today I'd imagine they don't want to do any real production. The HGs have also been told they're going to get some sort of party/BBQ this evening, including a reprieve for the Have Notties. So a few of them spent a tremendous amount of time on patriotic face-painting this afternoon, and most of them are decked out in red, white and blue.

That's not to say there wasn't any gametalk. The scrambling and paranoia that started last night continues in all corners of the house. There's still a huge HateElissa campaign coming from the Aaryn/Kaitlin/GM corner. Jeremy's definitely throwing his voice into the mix, though it's not at all clear to me if he's really on that team, or still acting as a spy for the MC. Nick's supposed to be an infiltrator of that group as well but the girls aren't buying it from him.

Meanwhile in the clueless tools of the MC corner, the boys have managed to reel Helen and Candice back in after the ladies almost figured them out. Spencer and Howard seem to have Helen believing that everything they did was to help the "big alliance" that they are all supposed to be a part of. Basically the plan was for no one to know who really voted out David and create distrust. Candice and Helen were both so insistent on their votes, and now the guys are scolding them a bit for not allowing more confusion. Helen tells Candice they have to lay low and wait for further instructions.

When Aaryn does make her noms, it's pretty much a sure thing that Elissa will go up. Aaryn has talked about Candice, Helen, Amanda and Jessie as possible second noms. That's every woman in the house other than her teamies Kaitlin and GM. And the boys of the MC are just sitting back and watching the women go after each other.

On the other side, there's been a lot of talk about who should go up in the MVP spot. Even if you don't accept the guarantee that Elissa will get MVP again, most of them seem to think that at the very least it won't be Aaryn/Kait/GM/Jeremy. Helen and Elissa have talked about Jeremy or Nick as an MVP nom, but they're more focused on Kaitlin or GM. Actually, they'd really like to see Aaryn go, but of course she's HOH. In any case it's still the women targeting each other and the men sitting back and sliding by.

That's all for now.
